I Don’t Put My Trust In The Blueberries
I want to take a moment to start this post off with some answers to the impossible. Little Grant is home!!! God has done a great thing here and this journey will encourage anyone to keep focused on God and be patient. Praise the Lord and everyone is happy to see that he is home.
Next week I will be returning to Cleveland to take my next steps to move forward with HSCT (a stem cell transplant) to permanently halt the progression of my immune system attacking my nervous system. I still have a long road but I am starting to see everything coming together. When I look at where I started and where I am now, I am beyond grateful for what God has done in my life. He has shown me garbage that was interfering with my spiritual health and garbage that was interfering with my physical health. As of today, I do not know exactly how God is going to heal this body of a defunct immune system. I have read so many success stories of people that fixed the immune system through diet. I have read about success through HSCT and other medical procedures. Although all of this is great and I am happy to see so many people that are able to live a life without a defective immune system, I am not placing my trust in the blueberries. I do not put my trust in HSCT. Many people think I am anti-medicine, but this is not true. It is amazing how God has worked through people to advance medicine and provide help to so many people. I have made it very clear to people that I choose to trust God to do the fixing. He made this vessel and He knows the best way to fix it. So, whether He chooses for me to wake up tomorrow and say "your faith has made you well, now go" or He uses food and/or medicine to heal me, He knows best and that is all I want.
What are you putting your trust in? Proverbs 3:5-8 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones" I do not know the answer to fixing my immune system, but I know the God that made it. I trust Him to do whatever He wants to do. I have admitted that with each procedure, I am little nervous about the results. Sometimes the internet is not always a calming source of information. My good friend Missy was asking me how I was doing when I entered church last week and I replied, "I'm good, just a little nervous about next week." and God showed up! She replied with a big smile and very frankly said, "If He brought you to it, He will bring you through it" and I have to admit that this is the truth that I needed. When thoughts creep in, I quietly repeat that statement and Thank God for all he is continuing to do.
Friends, I ask, what is your impossible? What are you putting your trust in to get you through that impossible? I love fresh blueberries, they are part of my clean eating and they have lots of benefits when you are trying to heal, but the blueberries are not going to fix my impossible. Only Jesus can do the impossible. Do you know Him? Do you trust Him?
Romans 5:8 says- 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
2 Corinthians 5:21 says- 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
He gave His life so that you could live forever. This free gift is for everyone. Romans 10: 9-10, 13 says- 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Choose Him today. Let Him have your impossible. If you already know Him, decide today that you want Him take your impossible. I guarantee you will be in awe of how God will show up when you let Him have the lead. Until next time my friends, keep praying and have a great week!
